About Artists

After retiring from 51 years as an auto technician I was visiting my uncle, Dave Kaufmann in Montrose in the summer of 2018 (who was a long-time member of Prescott Area Woodturners) and he put a piece of Aspen on one of his lathes and told me to try my hand at it. I did and I was hooked. I came home and bought a lathe and turned in my garage for about 2 1/2 years. I got tired of all the mess in my garage and so last year I built a small workshop on the side of my home and now have a nice place to work.
